Style

I like this style of animation. The colors, the textured flicker effect, the decision to not use black borders on everything, etc. Did you draw everything in Flash? I'd love to see a source file or tutorial with this kind of animation and drawing. Do you know of any?

Yeah I did everything in Flash. The flickering effect was used by taking a large texture and chopping it up 4 different ways, then looping that over top of everything.

Can totally relate

I had one chase me during my first tour in Iraq. Not until my next tour did I learn they are just attracted to shadows! Haha. Also learned, their bite doesn't have venom like most of us thought, but can cause infection. Gotta love the daily safety briefings and the posters they have everywhere over here. Good animation, it made me and some buddies here in Iraq laugh :)

wow, great job! thats pretty snazzy.

the only thing i didn't like is that paper shadow effect was done too much.
